Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan
| << |
![]() Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan was publicly executed in Llandovery Square Carmarthenshire by the English King Henry IV in 1401.
Refusing to betray Owain Glyndwr's hiding place he led the king on a fruitless search of the uplands for several weeks enabling Owain Glyndwr to escape to Gwynedd. This dramatic monument stands in his honour on the castle mound high above the town. |
